By accessing our Website or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. About The Bag Sitter
The Bag Sitter is an online platform that connects travelers with secure luggage storage solutions provided by our vetted Hosts ("Storage"). Our Hosts, which include businesses and other establishments, offer designated, secure spaces for short-term storage of personal belongings.

2. Bookings and Payment
Booking Process: Bookings must be made through our Website. Users are required to create an account and provide accurate information.
Fees and Payment: Payment is processed upon booking through our third-party provider, Stripe. All fees, including applicable taxes, are displayed at checkout.
Payment Methods: All transactions occur through the Website, and Hosts are not permitted to accept direct payments. Additional charges may apply for late collections.
Confirmation: After payment, users receive a confirmation email with booking details. Booking payments are generally non-refundable, except as specified under our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

3. Host Responsibilities
Storage Standards: Hosts are responsible for providing secure storage areas. They may verify users photo IDs upon drop-off and enforce access restrictions, either through secure storage areas or designated lockers.
Monitoring: Hosts are expected to maintain a safe environment, including monitoring access to storage areas and lockers where applicable. Hosts must promptly report issues to The Bag Sitter.
Liability: Hosts are responsible for any loss or damage to items in their care unless due to force majeure events or actions by users that violate these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities
Account and Information: Users are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided during booking, safeguarding their accounts, and following Host instructions.
Identification: Users must comply with requests for valid photo identification when required by the Host.
Timely Collection: Users must collect items at the scheduled pickup time. Failure to do so may result in additional fees or disposal of items after seven days.

5. Prohibited Items
Restricted Items: Users agree not to store certain items, including but not limited to:
Explosives, flammable, or hazardous materials
Weapons or firearms
Cash, jewelry, or other valuables
Perishable items
Illegal or contraband items
Host Rights: Hosts reserve the right to dispose of prohibited items without prior notice. Any illegal items may be reported to authorities. The Bag Sitters liability does not extend to prohibited items.

6. Cancellation and Refunds
Policy: Cancellations are allowed up until the designated drop-off day. For cancellations:
Before the drop-off day, users may receive a 50% refund or a 100% credit toward a future booking.
After the drop-off day, cancellations are non-refundable.
Processing: Refunds are issued to the original payment method, typically processed within 5-10 business days.

7. Guarantee and Liability
Coverage: The Bag Sitter offers limited guarantee coverage up to $1,000 for loss or damage of stored items, excluding prohibited items.
Claim Process: Claims must be submitted within 72 hours of pickup with evidence of loss or damage. Exclusions to coverage include:
Damage due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters)
Items covered under users own insurance
Loss or damage resulting from users own negligence or breach of these Terms

8. Limitation of Liability
Platform Role: The Bag Sitter acts as an intermediary and is not liable for damages related to Host services, including but not limited to loss, damage, or theft of items stored.
Liability Cap: Our liability is limited to the fees paid by the user for the booked storage.

9. Privacy and Data Protection
Data Collection: We collect and process personal data as necessary to manage bookings and improve services. Detailed information on data handling is available in our Privacy Policy.
User Rights: Users can request access to or deletion of their data under applicable data protection laws.

10. Terms Modifications
We may update these Terms occasionally. Updates will be posted on our Website, and significant changes may be communicated via email. Continued use of our Website after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Applicable Law and Disputes
